  • Roll out an even slab of clay to your desired thickness.

  • Lightly dust the mold or slab with cornstarch to help prevent sticking.

  • Place your slab over the mold form and gently press to shape.

  • Use the additional mold components to help define edges and create a consistent fit between lid and base.

  • Trim away excess clay and refine edges as desired.

  • Allow the piece to firm up slightly before removing from the mold.

  • Assemble, refine, decorate, dry, and fire as desired.
